In the Silence are a Post Progressive Metal band originally from Sacramento California, known worldwide in the progressive underground for their album A Fair Dream Gone Mad, which was performed in it's entirety (save the instrumental Close to Me) at the Prog Power USA 2013 Thursday night kick off. The band split in 2017 but reformed in early 2020 to release a new single "Familiar Places."
